Paul Flynn, founder and CEO of Addcounsel, Behavioural Wealth, and most recently Orchestrate Health, has been helping businesses grow for over 20 years. His rich experience and education in business has made him a key player in the development of effective mental and behavioural healthcare organisations.
Paul’s mission is to deliver high quality care for those in need that goes beyond the traditional 28-day multibed treatment approach; the standard in rehabilitation facilities for a long time. Paul’s own first hand experience with addiction and his time spent in recovery led him to realise that within the industry, there was not enough understanding of vulnerability shown towards people of great wealth. It seemed that there was a lack of understanding around the fact that, very often, wealthy individuals are extremely vulnerable to addiction. With little to no limit on resources, it is much easier for a wealthy person to fund their substance use. Rich or poor, anyone can be carried out to deep waters by the current of addiction, so regardless of one’s financial background, empathic and compassionate care are vital.
Addcounsel
In order to compensate for the lack of understanding, Paul decided to set up Addcounsel, a dedicated rehab for addiction and mental health conditions based in London.
In creating Addcounsel, Paul aimed to offer the necessary support that High Net Worth individuals needed in relation to addiction and mental health issues, providing compassionate understanding and treatment with no discrimination or judgment.
Founded in 2016, Addcounsel has been helping clients recover from their addictions on an innovative one-client at a time basis. Exclusive care is provided for those suffering from a wide range of addictions, including alcohol and other substances, behavioural addictions such as sex and gambling, as well as for eating disorders and other mental health disorders and condition, including anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Treatment at Addcounsel should last for a minimum of six month, although can last longer depending on the needs of the client, and is offered in a variety of languages including English, Arabic, Russian, French, and Mandarin.
During a stay at any one of Addcounsel’s private and luxury accommodations in Central London, clients are guided through a holistic journey from the very beginning right through to the end by a specialist coterie of people. Throughout treatment, clients have access to the widest menu of therapeutic services. Beyond the standard therapy sessions, fitness classes, and wellness guides, there are programmes that access ancient spiritual techniques- to name just a few aspects of treatment available at Addcounsel.
Behavioural Wealth
In 2018, Paul founded Behavioural Wealth, a private mental health care service based in Mayfair, Central London. Behavioural Wealth offers highly advanced healthcare assessments for the purpose of diagnosing physical and behavioural health conditions. As the most comprehensive assessment available in Europe, Behavioural Wealth considers all potential causes and symptoms of behavioural problems.
Clients attending Behavioural Wealth undergo a comprehensive two-day assessment, with the first day focused on physical health status, involving MRI and CT scans, bloods, a bio-regulatory analysis, and a nutritional and lifestyle evaluation.
On the second day, an assessment is provided for the client’s mental and behavioural, including a full psychiatric and neurological assessment, and a discussion centred on the spiritual and emotional needs of the client.
As part of the assessment, overnight private and discreet accommodation is provided, located in Belgravia, Mayfair, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, St.John’s Ward, Maida Vale, and Hampstead.
Orchestrate Health
Following the establishment of Addcounsel and Behavioural Wealth, Paul wanted to go above and beyond by providing specialist care for those in need. Though Addcounsel provides residential rehab in its luxury London accommodations, Paul realised that there was more that could be done in providing private treatment services. That’s why he has pursued his latest venture, Orchestrate Health.
He understood that many people need mental health care, while not needing or wanting to go into psychiatric units. Orchestrate Health offers an alternative to the mainstream. They are also able to act as the continuum of care for many people who may have already been through treatment, and although no longer in need of complex inpatient care, require a level of support at home.
Orchestrate Health provides clients with anonymous, private mental health services and care across the UK and internationally in the comfort of the client’s own home. The organisation serves to eliminate the need for clients to travel for appointments, encourages feelings of safety and comfort in treatment, thereby increasing the chances of successful recovery, and maintains complete discretion. Paul explains that Orchestrate Health ‘provides live-in mental health specialists, home assessments, and daily visits from treatment professional to ensure patients are given the best chance of long term recovery.’
